Coronavirus: Nine more hospital deaths in North from COVID-19 as toll hits 220

THE Public Health Agency has announced this afternoon that a further nine people with Covid-19 have died in hospitals in the North of Ireland in the past 24 hours. according to figures.

It brings the number of deaths here to 220 after four other deaths in hospitals in recent days were recorded by the PHA.

There are currently 35 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area, according to figures released by the Department of Health on Tuesday.

Belfast has most confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 272.

The total number of deaths across the UK now stands at 18,337.

There were a further 827 confirmed deaths on Tuesday.

The total number of confirmed cases across the UK has now risen by 4,301 to 129,044.
