Sinn Fein MLA Martina Anderson

SINN Féin’s Martina Anderson has called on businesses and schools in the North West to check if they have any unused Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) on their premises which they could donate to local health service and carers.

Said the Foyle MLA: “All of our elected representatives have been contacted by frontline staff expressing serious concerns around the availability of appropriate PPE and access to testing.

“Health and social care staff in our hospitals, surgeries, hospices and carers are on the front line of the fight against COVID-19 and are doing excellent work in very challenging circumstances.

“I would appeal to businesses and schools in the North West area to donate any PPE equipment they would have to help protect our vital workers.

“I know some schools and sporting organisations have already done this and I commend them for doing so.”
