NI Water announce work schemes for Waterside and New Buildings

NI Water to carry out works at Simpsons Brae in Derry

HOUSEHOLDERS and motorists are being advised that NI Water are to carry out maintenance works in Derry in the coming weeks.

In a statement Derry’s City Centre Initiative say: “We would like to inform you that NI Water through their appointed contractor TOC Utilities will be carrying out some works in and around Derry city centre in January/February 2020.

“The works will be located on Simpson’s Brae, Waterside and Woodside Road, New Buildings.

“Please see the information below regarding both areas of works.

“Pedestrian access will remain available at all times.

“Some parking restrictions will be in place around the working areas.

“Please be aware that construction sites are dangerous areas for unauthorised persons, especially children and we would appreciate your co-operation in ensuring that children do not play in or around the site or machinery.

“Working areas will have warning signs in place to protect the public from any hazards.

“The public are advised to stay out of these working areas for their own safety.

“NI Water and their contractor TOC Utilities Ltd would like to thank you for your patience and co-operation as they undertake these essential works.

“Water NI will endeavour to minimise any disruption or inconvenience as far as possible, and assure you we will do everything we can to complete the work as soon as reasonably practical.

Date: Monday 10th February – Friday 14th February

Time: Continuous Closure for 5 Days

Nature of Works: Water Main & Sewer Connections

Expected Delay: Less than 5 Minutes

WOODSIDE ROAD, NEW BUILDINGS

Date: Monday 27th January – Friday 31st January

Time: 09:30 -16:30 (Off Peak Only)

Nature of Works: Installation of PRV and Strainer

Expected Delay: Less than 5 Minutes
