POLICE are hunting the driver of this Audi car found abandoned in Derry this week.

It was recovered in Cornshell Fields on Thursday evening and officers would like a chat with the driver about a number of road traffic offences.

Under the heading of ‘It’s good to talk’, PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “Having previously made off from police, this vehicle was located abandoned this evening in Cornshell Fields.

“Unsurprisingly no one is claiming ownership of the death trap which has not been registered or insured recently.

“It has also not been Taxed since March or MOT’ed since April.

“The machine is fairly clean inside other than the Stanley knife located in the inside pocket of the passengers door.

“As always Ballyarnett Npt will gladly discuss all issues with anyone who wishes to claim responsibility for this vehicle.”
