A MAN is in custody at Strand Road police station in Derry after being arrested for drink driving and other offences.
Police say his arrest in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, August 14, was with the assistance of members of the public.
His arrest means another dangerous and selfish drink driver is off the roads.
PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “Thanks to the members of the community who assisted police in tracking down the driver of a car that crashed on the Foyle Road in the city during the early hours of this morning.
!A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and is currently in custody.”
