Police arrest three people in Derry over street disturbance and seize drugs and knife

THREE people are in police custody at Strand Road station over a street disturbance in Derry on Sunday, August 5, which resulted in a quantity of drugs being seized along with a knife.

PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “Police responded to a call from a member of the public who reported a disturbance in the City yesterday.

“As a result of this call 3 people were searched & police located suspected drugs & a knife.

“The suspects are now assisting us with our enquiries in custody.

“Many thanks to the members of the public for contacting us in relation to this.”
