Mary Durkan likely to top poll in Foyleside but SDLP could lose Hastings in Faughan

SDLP Foyleside representative Mary Durkan on course to be elected at first attempt

BARRISTER Mary Durkan is certainly keeping it in the family as she is expected to top the poll for the SDLP in Foyleside.

It is her first run out as a candidate in the elections to Derry City and Strabane District Counci.

Mary is the sister of Foyle MLA Mark H Durkan and the niece of former Foyle MP Mark Durkan.#

But over in Faughan it may not be such good news for the SDLP.

Gus Hastings is under threat of losing his seat which he has held since 2011.
