Sinn Fein Councillor Eric McGinley

SINN Féin Councillor Eric McGinley has described as extremely worrying an incident where a car was driven recklessly through Ballymagroarty last night.

Cllr. McGinley said: “Whilst canvassing in Ballymagroarty yesterday I witnessed a car being driven recklessly around the car park adjacent to the Chapel.

“This vehicle then sped out of the car park and through the bottom of the estate.

“This incident took place in daylight hours whilst many people were going about their everyday business.

“It is only through good fortune that no-one was hurt as a result of the mindless actions of those in the vehicle and it is vitally important that we remove these death drivers from our roads.

“I have been in contact with the PSNI in relation to this incident.

“I would appeal to the community to also contact myself, Community Safety Wardens or the PSNI if they witness any repeat of such reckless actions.

“We must do all we can to ensure our streets are kept safe from these death drivers,” added Cllr Mc
