POLICE in Derry are hunting the owner of this abandoned car.

The black Vauxhall Vectra was seized by Ballyarnett Neighourhood Policing Team while on patrol in the Galliagh area.

They are now keen to trace who was driving in an effort to bring the person before the local magistrates’ court for a range of motoring offences.

An officer wrote on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page: “Do you have a 🔑 but no 🚗?

“Did you recently forget where you parked your 🚘?

“Did you forget to park your car in your own driveway or anywhere near your own 🏠?

“Did you forget 🤔 to insure this car?

“Did you forget 🤔 to Tax this car?

“Did you forget to clean this car and therefore leave a suspicious resealable bag 😲 in the rear foot well?

“If you have answered yes to all of these questions then Ballyarnett Npt 👮 might be able to help.

“We located a suspious Black Vauxhall Vectra at the top of Fern Park, Galliagh. We had a few concerns about this car and our initial enquiries did not alleviate these worries.

“The local residents we spoke to also had fears about this vehicle. Therefore we have taken it for safe keeping.

“If you own this vehicle and would like to discuss the situation, please feel free to contact your local Ballyarnett Npt officer ASAP.”
