Detectives on board a flight from City of Derry airport to England to perfect arrest of Derry robbery suspect

DETECTIVES from Derry were on a red eye flight this morning to arrest a man over a burglary in the city four years ago.

PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “Today’s view from the office. Long day ahead started at 4.30 am.

“Two of your CID team heading across the water to arrest a suspect wanted on suspicion of a robbery in Derry from 2015.

“Unfortunately for him he won’t have exits here, here and here for a while yet.’

After his arrest, the detectives will be flying the suspect back to the City of Derry Aiport and then onward to Strand Road police station for processing and questioning.
