POLICE are continuing to reduce the cordon around the site of the bomb in Bishop Street outside the courthouse.

As a result, motorists with vehicles in Bishop Street carpark can now retrieve them.

PSNI Foyle say: “Anyone waiting to get access to their vehicle in Bishop Street car park can make their way now from the Diamond side.”

Forensic teams continue to examine the wreckage of a car in which a device exploded near the courthouse on Saturday night

A PSNI Foyle spokesperson added: “We recognise the significant impact and disruption that the events of the weekend have had on so many people in the City.

“Our investigators are working around the clock to progress the essential and meticulous enquiries that have to be conducted.

“We really appreciate the overwhelming positive feedback we have received to date and understand the challenges of those still being impacted.

“Listening to the voice of the people the resounding message is revulsion at the extent to which those behind it have stooped only harming the City and the people.

“We will keep working to resume normality and keep you updated.”
