Councillor condemns thugs who torched car in Creggan

The burning two door Mini Cooper car in Creggan last night

A SINN Fein councillor has condemned the thugs who set fire to a car in Derry last night.

Kevin Campbell expressed his outrage over the incident in Creggan.

Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to deal with the burning two door Mini Clubman at around 7.30 pm in Mulroy Gardens.

The The burning of a car in the Creggan area last night has been condemned by a local councillor.

Firefigther were called to deal with a burning Mini Clubman (pictured) at around 7.30pm in Mulroy Gardens (off Creggan Heights) at around 7.30 pm.

The same car is suspected of being involved in hitting a number of cars in Creggan earlier in the evening.

It is the second arson attack on a vehicle this week.

A Mercedes Benz car was torched in the Beechwood area earlier this week.

Councillor Campbell says he has made contact to have the Mini removed but the vehicle is still waiting to be lifted (pictured below).
