Teenager released on bail over murder of Edward Meenan in Derry last Sunday
The teenager was arrested last week over the murder of the 52-year-old.
On Friday, detectives were granted a 36 hour detention to question the teenager.
Three males have already been charged with Mr Meenan’s murder and remanded in custody – two on Friday and one on Saturday.
All will appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court via video link on December 20.
The body of Mr Meenan was found in an alleyway off Creggan Street in the Bogside in the early hours of last Sunday, November 25.
Police said the father-of-nine had sustained significant injuries to his head and body.
