Dangerous and uninsured vehicle seized in Derry

POLICE in Derry have removed another dangerous and uninsured vehicle from the city’s streets.

And it won’t take officers long tracking down the culprit – he left his mail behind in vehicle giving his address!

The vehicle was seized by officers from the PSNI’s Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Team.

An officer posted on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page:

“Word of advice to people who want to rally around without Insurance and speed off from Police 🚔 :

1. It’s hard to pretend the car wasn’t driving when we saw it 👀 and the front brakes and bonnet are still really warm 🔥

2. It’s hard to pretend it wasn’t YOU driving if you park up and sprint 🏃‍♂️ into your house when Police shout “stop”

3. It’s even harder to keep up the pretence that it wasn’t you if you leave Mail ✉️ in the car bearing your name and address on it.

“Either way Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Team 👮🏻‍♂️ just seized this one. Fish in a barrel.”
