SDLP Foyle MLA Mark H Durkan has expressed sympathy after a young female has lost her life in a crash on the Letterkenny road in Derry.
Laura Szewc was killed in a single vehicle crash on Wednesday night at Nixon’s Corner close to the border with Donegal.
The 18-year-old was a student at North West Regional College and worked at Trinity Lodge Hotel.
Mr Durkan commented: “It is heart breaking that a young life with so much potential and many happy years ahead of her has been taken so soon.
“My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this devastating time.”
