Updated News: Derry to Letterkenny road remains closed after two vehicle crash

EMERGENCY services are attending the scene of a collision between a car and lorry on the main Derry to Letterkenny road this morning.

Gardaí have closed the road at Pound Cottages (Callaghan’s) in Burt as Fire Units clear the scene.

The accident occurred after 8am.

Traffic is heavy in the area as motorists follow diversions.

Motorists are being asked to use alternative route – Letterkenny to Newtoncunningham to Killea to Derry to Bridgend.
