McGlynn and Sittuk make it three wins each at Waterside Half Marathon

THREE is the magic number at the Waterside Half Marathon senior Men’s and Women’s sections!

There was a third win each at the event for Strabane’s Anne Marie McGlynn and Kenya’s Freddie Sittuk.

Around 2,000 people took part in the WHM 2018 which is now becoming a major event in the city.

Mayor John Boyle said: “Well done to the thousands of athletes who took part in the Waterside Half Marathon and the Everybody Active Junior Games event that ran alongside it today

“Congratulations to Festival and Events team at Council and City of Derry Spartans for another outstanding event.”
