City of Derry Airport Celebrate New Ryanair Edinburgh Route with Free Flight Giveaway

City_of_Derry_Airport_01CITY of Derry Airport is offering its customers the chance to win one pair of return Ryanair flights to Edinburgh on their social media channels.

The lucky winner (and their travel partner) will enjoy an enchanting city break where they can explore the rich culture of the Scottish capital.

Tour the famous Castle, visit Edinburgh Dungeon, shop ‘til you drop for Christmas on Princes Street or soak up the fun in the cosy restaurants and bars. Edinburgh Cocktail Week runs from 15th October this Autumn, so this may be a particularly nice to plan a girly getaway!

Charlene Shongo, Airport Manager at City of Derry Airport, stated: “We are absolutely delighted to launch Ryanair’s new service to Edinburgh. The charming city of Edinburgh has so much to offer travelers, from romantic getaways, family trips or a weekend break with friends.

“The new Ryanair service to Edinburgh will operate five times per week and will commence on 28th October.

“Flights are on sale now with fares starting from as little as £9.99 one way. As well as offering city breaks, this new route will be of huge benefit for those who travel to Scotland to visit family and friends, for studying or sporting events throughout the year”.

Eimear Ryan, Sales & Marketing Executive at Ryanair UK and Ireland added: “We are releasing seats for sale from just £9.99, which are available for booking from today until midnight Tuesday (28 Aug) for travel from October to January. Since these amazing low fares will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto www.ryanair.com and avoid missing out.”

Ryanair also operate direct flights to Liverpool from City of Derry Airport and Fly BMI operate a double daily service to London Stansted.

October 2018 will see the return of Scottish operator Loganair with a direct service five times per week to Glasgow International Airport, these flights are currently on sale via the Loganair.com.

Tui operate a fantastic summer sun program with summer 2019 on sale now. Super Break are offering a charter service to Iceland in January 2019.

The airport has undergone an extensive refurbishment program following the flooding of August 2017. The terminal building has been transformed to provide a better customer experience.

The airport continues to provide a convenient, friendly and reliable service. The airport offers a fast and efficient journey through check-in and security screening.

Passengers can enjoy dining in a relaxed environment in the Fed & Watered restaurant located in the departure lounge or shopping at the retail outlets where there are fabulous offers available on a range of gifts, beauty, skincare and fragrance as well as last minute travel essentials.

The airports newly refurbished Amelia Earhart lounge offers an additional space to relax in style in advance of your flight.

Airport Manager, Charlene Shongo concluded: “City of Derry Airport has become the airport of choice for the North West of Ireland, offering both convenience and excellent customer service and I would encourage all travellers within the local catchment to think about flight options from their local airport when making future travel arrangements,

“Fly Local and Choose CoDA” whenever they can. We have fantastic facilities on our doorstep and it is essential that everyone takes advantage of their local airport for their travel plans when possible”.
