POLICE are appealing for the public’s help in tracing the movements of a stolen red Ford Fiesta car in Derry earlier this week.

Neighbourhood police recovered the car in the Waterside but offices are keen to know where it had been before it was seized on Monday night..

PSNI Foyle said on its Facebook page: “And the winners of hide and seek today were Waterside NPT.

“After someone stole the car in the picture during Monday night from the Irish Street area of the city, it was hidden in another area of the Waterside where it was located just a few hours later by your community police officers.

“If anyone seen this vehicle on the move last night or have any information please contact 101 and ask to speak to CID quoting CCS 203.

“Do not make it easy for burglars and thieves.

“Remember to not only secure your home at night but lock your vehicle removing valuables and cash from view.”
