POLICE have seized a quantity of drugs and drugs paraphernalia during a planned search in Co Derry.

The PSNI say the drugs were recovered from the Park area district.

PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “Some good news for a change.

“Strabane Police have seized a quantity of drugs and drugs paraphernalia, as shown below.

“These items have been recovered from the Park area of our district.

“Subsequently, Police also stopped a vehicle and a male cautioned in relation to drugs seized.

“As a parent, I am happy the drugs and associated items have been seized, however it scares me the items were there in the first place.

“As a Police officer, we are thankful for any information which leads to these items removed from our community and suspects held accountable for their actions.

“In this case, from the initial call made to Police, to the time drugs items shown were seized by Police, was less then 40 minutes.

“We can’t do it alone…..any information provided to Police in relation to crime will be acted upon.

“Confidential information can be provided to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
