POLICE in Derry are advising the public to be on their guard about the activities of a Ford van and its occupants.
It follows reports to the police that the van and its occupants have been acting suspiciously in the Cityside and Waterside areas recently.
An officer wrote on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page: “We’ve had a few reports of a silver Transit Van 
(Northern Registration) going round the Cityside and the Waterside.
“They seem to crawl around Estates and send a young lad 
♂ into back gardens.
“When caught and challenged they claim to be collecting scrap.
“Keep your eyes peeled 
and report any suspicious behaviour via 101 
.
“It could be all innocent (doubt it 
) but we’ll not know until we get it stopped on the move.
