THE PSNI are currently carrying out raids in Derry which locals believe are linked to petrol bomb attacks on police on Easter Monday in the Creggan.
It is understood the raids are being centred around Junior McDaid House in Chamberlain Street.
Locals report that the streets has been blocked off by police who are not letting anyone in while the searches are being carried out.
Junior McDaid House say on its Facebook page: “Junior McDaid house is currently getting raided by RUC and the page has been shut down also.’
The premises is home to the Irish Repubblican Prisoners Welfare Association and Saoradh, the political wing of the ‘New IRA’.
