BUDDING entrepreneurs in Derry and Strabane are being encouraged to attend free ‘Start a Business’ drop-in days at Enterprise North West and the Strabane Enterprise Agency as part of this year’s exciting five-day programme of events and activities for Enterprise Week 2018 (Monday 5th to Friday 9th March).

Have you just recently started your business or are you thinking about starting one? Have you a social enterprise idea? Enterprise North West will have dedicated staff available to chat to you at their office in Skeoge between 9am and 5pm on Monday 5th March.

Alternatively, budding entrepreneurs can also drop in to the Strabane Enterprise Agency from 10:30am to 4pm on Tuesday 6th March and meet the team there for free advice and support.

Louise Breslin, Business Development Manager with Derry City and Strabane District Council, says she cannot stress enough the importance of face-to-face advice and support from professional business advisors – which can make a huge difference, especially if you’re just starting out.

“Professional business advisors from Enterprise North West and the Strabane Enterprise Agency will be available to offer reassurance and support during the drop-in days” she said.

“They can help clarify business plans, provide advice on financing and development, and give you access to valuable business contacts and knowledge.

“They can also help you to set realistic and achievable targets, source funding or find a location to establish and grow your start-up business.

“I would therefore encourage anyone who has recently started their own business or are thinking about starting one to avail of this fantastic free advice and support.

“Indeed, during the course of this year’s Enterprise Week we will be doing all we can to support individuals who want to start a new business.

“The week-long programme of mentoring, advice and networking will therefore highlight the services and support available to start-ups throughout the Council area – as well as provide a huge selection of free events and workshops tailored to inspire and inform.”
