SINN Féin MP Elisha McCallion has met with the head of Invest NI, Alastair Hamilton, to discuss the strategic growth plan for the North West.

The Foyle MP said: “We had a very productive meeting with Alastair Hamiliton from Invest NI and his team.

“I brought together all the key stakeholders in the city and region and together, united, we presented Alastair and his team with our strategic growth plan.

“I was pleased with the positive response from Alastair Hamilton and they too have bought into the vision of a strategic growth plan for the north west region.

“Alastair and his team heard very clearly that we, as well as all the key stakeholders, are about bringing positive change to this city region as a whole.

“The strategic growth plan envisages 15,000 additional jobs to the north west region by 2032.

“We are very committed to ensuring that the strategic growth plan is realised and will continue to engage with Invest NI to ensure it is put in place,” added the former Mayor of Derry and Strabane.
