ROADS IN DERRY STILL CLOSED AFTER SERIOUS TRAFFIC COLLISION

POLICE say a number of roads remain closed following a serious car crash in Derry last night.

A PSNI Foyle spokesperson said this morning: “We are still dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the Clooney Carriageway.

“The road is closed from Gransha Roundabout to Judges Road.

“Diversions are in place.

“If you are heading that way expect majors delays. Crescent Link, Rossdowney Road and Ardlough Road back on to the carriageway is the most direct route though this is expected to have a heavy build up with commuting traffic coming into the city so please plan your route carefully and leave plenty of time.

“Going further out past Drumahoe coming in the back roads could end up being quicker in trying to get to Limavady direction.

“Traffic is expected to be busier around Caw Roundabout because of this.

“Please drive safely.”
