THE public in Derry is being warned over a cold calling couple trying to rob homes.
The warning has been sounded by Ballymagroarty Community Empowerment.
It is advising residents to watch out for the couple and also to keep an eye out for their neighbours.
One resident posted on BCEs Facebook page: “Guys, anyone living in Ballymac watch out.
“I just had a woman call to my front door with a survey as I was out talking to her someone came in my back door.
“Luckily the door has a loud squeak so I heard it.
“And when I went out see what was happening a man saw me and cleared outside again.
“If my door hadn’t squeaked I’d have been robbed.
“Keep doors locked!!
“I’m still shaking….”
