POLICE RENEW APPEAL OVER FATAL ROAD CRASH DEATH OF PATRICIA CAMPBELL

POLICE investigating a collision in which a woman died, are renewing their appeal for information almost one week on from the crash.

Pedestrian Patricia Campbell was killed when she was struck by a car on the Glenshane Road outside Derry in the early hours of Monday, September 18.

The 48-year-old was walking back from a hotel where a fundraising event was held for local victims of the recent flood when tragedy struck.

Ms Campbell was hit by a vehicle near the village of Drumhoe, where she is understood to have lived.

Inspector Gregory Smyth said: “Were you on the Glenshane Road just before 2am last Monday morning?

“Or do you have any information that could help with our investigation?

“Please contact police at Strand Road on telephone number 101, quoting reference 117 of 18/9/17.”
