SINN Féin Councillor Colly Kelly has said a burst water main caused considerable disruption in the Creggan Heights area on Saturday morning.

Said Councillor KelIy: “I was contacted by residents early on Saturday morning saying there was a flow of heavy water running down through Creggan Heights at a very fast rate.Councillor Colly Kelly said

“When I went to the area I seen how bad it was .This burst was coming up through the footpaths and actually swelled parts of the footpath the force of the water was so strong.

“I contacted NI Water who turned off the flowing water in that area and will be working to fix what seems to have been a burst main pipe on top of what was a night of heavy rain.

“If any resident has any more concerns they should feel free to get in contact with me and if there are any more updates over the next few days I will keep them informed.”
