The Verbal Arts Centre in Derry will host Western Trust meeting to discuss £12.5 million budget cut over the next year

THE Western Trust says it wants to hear the public’s views on the 2017/18 Savings Plan proposals.

As a result, it has organised four public meetings across the Western Trust area in the coming weeks.

The Western Trust is expected to make savings over the next year of £12.5 million to its budget.

The Department of Health has asked the five trusts across the North to make total savings of £70 million.

The consultation on the savings plan proposals for health and social care in the Western area runs from 24 August 2017 to 5 October 2017 and the Trust says it is keen to hear from everyone.

Meetings have been identified to accommodate a range of times, with two day time events and two evening opportunities, in the following locations:

Derry –
Tuesday 26 September in the Verbal Arts Centre from 7pm to 9pm
