ELVIS fans get ready!

The Alley Theatre is set to host some the finest bands and singers from Strabane as they join forces to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley.

On Saturday 12th August, artists will celebrate the life and legacy of ‘The King’ at the Alley Theatre.

Rising stars and some of the area’s most well-known musicians will come together to perform all the hits in the cabaret style auditorium.

Amongst those taking to the stage will be; Glen Harkin of ‘Harks’, Mark Carmichael of ‘Camhanach’, ‘Nineteen 80’ Something’ and Matthew Ward.

Jacqui Doherty, Venue Manager at the Alley Theatre said it will be a night for everyone.

She added “I am sure everyone has a favourite Elvis song.

“The acts performing have chosen their own favourite Elvis song and you can expect to hear their rendition of the hits, ‘Love me tender’, ‘Can’t help falling’ and ‘Are you lonesome tonight’.

“If you like Elvis, you will love this show.”

Speaking ahead of the event, one of the performers Glen Harkin added: “Fans of Elvis are going to love this performance, they are in for a brilliant night.

“Audiences are encouraged to dress to impress as Elvis, Priscilla or other Rockabilly icons to add a bit of fun to the night.

“There will be prizes for best dressed so come along as your favourite era of Elvis and celebrate the life of The King!”

Tickets for Elvis Tribute Night at the Alley Theatre, which will take place this Saturday 12th August, cost £8.00, £6.00 concession.

They are available from the Alley Theatre Box Office on 028 71 384444 or online www.alley-theatre.com.
