And the dangerous driver behind the wheel of the Ford Focus car will now have his day in court when he will be banned from the roads.

Investigating officer Constable Jock posted on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page: “Foyleside and the Moor NPT are out on patrol today.

“We were only out on the ground a short while when we came across a uninsured vehicle being driven on the streets of our great city.

“We reacted swiftly stopping the vehicle lights and sirens screaming….. vehicle stopped (after about 10 feet) and seized for the safety of all the community.

“This reckless actions has resulted in the driver having to attend court at a later date for numerous offences.

“Warning to all Reckless and Dangerous drivers you have been warned we are looking for you.

“Your actions are risking the lives of our community members……

“Another life lesson folks if your gonna own and use a car, ensure you have it correctly insured for everyone’s safety.

“If not I’m gonna take it from you and crush it,” Constable Jock added.
