SINN Fein councill Kevin Campbell has welcomed the clean-up of one of the  busiest walkways in Creggan used by hundreds of people everyday.

“I am pleased that the Council staff using the Hako machine have cleaned the  Chapel Lane in Creggan.

“This is something I have been calling for a while.

“This lane is an important part of the infrastructure of Creggan, hundreds of people use it every day going to 10.00am mass in St Marys Chapel or taking a short cut to the town and children using the local play parks.

“So a big thank you to council staff for the clean-up as this particular lane can get really bad with broken glass and litter,” added Cllr Campbell.
