PSNI PRAISE HALFORDS AFTER WOMAN RETURNS HOME TO FIND BED TAKEN

POLICE and Halfords in Derry yesterday gave a woman something to lie on for the night after she came home to find her bed had gone missing.

PSNI Foyle said on its Facebook page: “On Tuesday, 18th July, officers from Local Policing Team attended an address in the city and spoke with the female occupant.

“She had returned home to discover numerous items had been removed from her house, including her bed.

“Whilst no crime was committed on this occasion officers did not feel they could simply leave the address without helping and they attended Halfords and bought this lady a camp bed.

“When officers explained the situation this lady was in, Halfords donated a foot pump for the camp bed free of charge.

“Many thanks to Halfords Crescent Link for their kind jesture and hopefully this small jesture has helped make a bad situation seem a bit better.”
