APPLICATIONS SOUGHT FOR SMALL PROJECT SUPPORT

THE Derry and Strabane PCSP call for small project support is now open for applications for projects taking place between July 2017 and March 2018.

Encouraging groups in the district that have an interest in community safety to apply the Chair of the Derry and Strabane PCSP Councillor Gus Hastings said:

“The public notice inviting applications has been advertised in the local press last week.

“The closing date for the receipt of applications is 12noon on Monday 12th June.

“Last year the PCSP provided over £220,000 of support to a range of local initiatives and projects aimed at reducing fear of crime, tackling anti-social behaviour and addressing issues such as drug and alcohol abuse, road safety and domestic and sexual violence.

“This year’s call has a similar budget and will support projects running during 2017/18.

“I would encourage groups that are working to enhance community safety and reduce crime to submit their application to the PCSP.

“It is important that all applications are submitted to the PCSP before the deadline as applications submitted after the date will not be considered,” he said.
