AN animal charity says it is 0utraged at those responsible for dumping two pups at the side of a rural road in County Derry.

The German Shepherd puppies were discovered in the Garvagh area by a local woman out walking.

They were found to be in a pretty bad condition and very scared.

“I don’t know how anyone could have abandoned two wee puppies like that,” Megan O’Kane, who found them, told UTV reporter Paul Reilly.

The pups have now been named Megan and Mo.

And with lots of love and care from their rescuer and from staff at the Dogs’ Trust in Ballymena they are now on the med.

The charity hopes that in a month or so times, they will be ready to be rehomed to a family who will take much better care for them than those who so callously dumped them on the roadside.
