BODY FOUND IN RIVER FOYLE CONFIRMED AS THAT OF MISSING DEAN MILLAR

Missing Creggan lad Dean Millar

IT has been officially confirmed the body found in the River Foyle on Tuesday was Dean Millar.

The 18 year old was last seen in the Brandywell almost 6 weeks ago.

He is thought to have entered the water close to Craigavon bridge on Sunday, March 12.

Funeral arrangements are expected to be made shortly.

In a message on its Facebook page this morning, Help Get Dean Home said:

“UPDATE, 😢DEAN IS COMING HOME😢

IT HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS DEANS BODY RECOVERED FROM THE FOYLE ON TUESDAY, ALTHOUGH WE WERE CERTAIN OURSELVES IT WAS DEAN. UNTIL IT WAS CONFIRMED WE WERE IN LIMBO.

“THANKS AGAIN TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP AND CONTINUED SUPPORT.

“WE WILL UPDATE YOU LATER ON THE FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS.”
