Derry pensioner John Concannon will be laid to rest on Saturday

THE funeral will take place tomorrow for Derry man John Concannon.

John went missing in November 2015 after taking the wrong bus home.

The 71-year-old had been suffering from dementia at the time.

Mr Concannon’s body was found in the Lenamore Road area of the city on Saturday March 11th, 2017 not far from where he had disappeared.

Searches had been conducted on both sides of the border, with streams and outbuildings searched in Donegal for him.

The funeral will take place from his home at 14 Altcar Park tomorrow, Saturday, April 8 at 11 o’clock.

Requiem Mass will take place at 11.30 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Galliagh.

The father of two will be laid to rest in the City Cemetery.

While he had been missing, his son John tragically died last June aged 27.
