42-year-old man quizzed at Strand Road over assault on man in Derry’s Sperrin Park
POLICE say a 60-year-old man is in a very serious condition in hospital after he was assaulted in Derry.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault.
The badly injured man was found inside a property in Sperrin Park at around 8am on Sunday and taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatment.
Detectives are seeking anyone with information regarding this crime or anyone who can assist the investigation in any way.
