THE Riverine is a unique project as it will span the border between Northern Ireland and Ireland, located along the banks of the River Foyle and will create a new cross border local community asset & regional park.

Regenerating two currently unused open natural spaces, the Project will comprise of 47 acres of new community infrastructure, at the heart of which will be a partially covered outdoor public events space, community building & world class play experience, radiating out into shared parkland walkways, river access & parking.

External funding will be required to progress the Project. Donegal County Council and Derry City & Strabane District Council have submitted a related funding application under the Peace IV Shared Space & Services Programme. Within this highly competitive process, it is essential to demonstrate significant local demand for the Project from people of Lifford, Strabane and the surrounding areas.
