THREE men have been arrested after a police chase yesterday.
The men – aged 23, 39 and 55 – were caught when the BMW car they were travelling in was stopped by police in the King Street area of Magherafelt.
Two of them jumped from the car and sped off on foot – but they were caught by police.
Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson said: “Shortly before 1pm the driver of the BMW was arrested on suspicion of a number of traffic offences.
“Two passengers in the BMW made off but were subsequently apprehended by police and both were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
“All three are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
“Two police cars and another vehicle were damaged in the incident.
“The officers and the driver of the other vehicle were uninjured.”
