Three burglary suspects spent the night in Strand Road before being charged to court

POLICE in Derry are jubilant after nabbing three suspected burglars over an incident in the Templemore area last night.

As a result, all three have been charged to court

PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “It’s fair to say that burglars know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

“Local Policing Team 2 and Foyleside and The Moor Neighbourhood Team joined forces last night to capture three burglars who assaulted a vulnerable person the in the area of Templemore last night.🚓🚓

“Here’s a brief rundown of what happened…

“Communications come on the net and tell us there’s a burglary in progress. Everyone gets excited and races to help.

“It’s every police officers dream to catch a burglar in the act with the swag bag.💰💰

* NPT arrive at the scene and circulate the description of the suspects
* LPT 2 two flood the area 🚔🚔🚔 and locate three people matching the description less than a mile away
* Search – stolen item recovered. All three arrested:
1 x Burglary
1 x Burglary and Common Assault
1 x Burglary/Common Assault and Possession of A Controlled Drug (a small bag of suspected cannabis was found during her search)
* Off they go for a night in Hotel Strand Road
* Result – All three have been charged to court.
