The scene of the crash in Kilrea this evening in Co Derry

POLICE say a road closed in Co Derry following a “serious road traffic” collision” earlier this evening has now reopened.

The smash involved two vehicles and happened at the junction of the Kilrea Road and the Dunglady Road.

The road was closed at the Culnady Road which prevented access to Kilrea via Upperlands.

Following an examination of the crash scene, police have advised motorists that all roads in the area are now open again.

There are is no information as yet on the injuries sustained by those travelling in the vehicles.
