MANY tributes have been paid at the sad passing this moring of former City of Derry Golf Club professional Michael Doherty.
He is the father of Kevin Doherty from the band Four Men And A Dog.
His death was announced this afternoon on the Facebook page of the Prehen club.
A message read: “We are sad to report the passing of our former club professional, Michael Doherty.
“Michael was a great ambassador not just for our club, but for golf across the whole island of Ireland. RIP Michael.”
His funeral will take place at 2.00 pm on Sunday in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill, Buncrana.
