A5 VITAL FOR INVESTMENT WEST OF THE BANN – MCALEER

A5 PICSINN Féin MLA Declan McAleer has said the A5 Western Transport Corridor is a vital piece of infrastructure for the North West.

Mr McAleer said: “The development of the A5 is a national priority for Sinn Féin.

“What people have to realise is that we are dealing with a history of neglect and discrimination West of the Bann.

“The A5 transport corridor will help address this and provide a high quality road link between Derry, Strabane, Omagh and Ballygawley and cut costs for hauliers and commuters alike who are travelling to Dublin.

“It will also unlock the potential for future economic development of these areas, including Counties Donegal and Monaghan and will create immediate employment with over 1,000 jobs for the construction industry alone.”
