SDLP Derry Councillor Brian Tierney has welcomed the opening of a new Men’s Shed in the Ballyarnett area by Leafair Community Association.
Cllr Tierney said that the project would allow more local men to get active within their community.
He said: “It’s great news that Leafair Community Association has secured funding for a new Men’s Shed in the Ballyarnett area.
“This is a further extension of a very successful project that has allowed local people to use their skills to help with work in the community.
“This is a valuable project that’s making a real difference to people in our community.
“The creative and social aspects of the Men’s Shed can be transformative for those involved and it’s great to see the project continue,” he added.
