WOMAN’S DEATH AN AWFUL REMINDER OF RISKS FACED BY FARMING COMMUNITY – ARCHIBALD

Caoimhe-Archibald1SINN Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald said she is shocked and saddened at the death of a woman on a farm near Garvagh last night.

The woman, who was in her 70s, died as a result of an incident with cattle on the farm.

The East Derry MLA said: “I am shocked and saddened at the death of a local woman on a farm in Garvagh last night.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the woman’s family and friends in the wake of her tragic death.

“This latest fatality on a local farm is an awful reminder of the risks faced by our farming community in their daily routine.

“The HSE has a responsibility to carry out a thorough investigation of this tragedy.”
