POLICE believe youths let off the handbrake of an articulated lorry which smashed into Foyleside Shopping Centre yesterday.

Officers are appealing for information following the incident invloving a Poundland delivery lorry.

They are particularly keen to speak with three young males who were in the area of Ferryquay Street around the time of the incident.

The lorry travelled along Linenhall Street and Newmarket Street before crashing into the wall of the Foyleside Shopping Centre on Orchard Street.

Damage was caused to a parked car and significant damage caused to a number of street signs and bollards during the incident.
