SINN Féin MLA Raymond McCartney has expressed his condolences after a death of a person on the Derry railway line yesterday.
The Foyle MLA said: “News that a person has died following an incident on the railway line in Derry close to Caw Park has shocked the local community.
“My thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this sad time.”
The railway line reopened today and police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact officers at Strand Road on the 101 number.
