THIS is the PSNI’S new evidence-gathering ‘toy’.
Officers in PSNI Foyle are among those who have been trained in use of the new equipment.
A spokesperson said: “Local officers have been trained in the use of Body Worn Video, which they will be using to gather evidence.
“It is fully auditable, transparent and will only be used when appropriate, proportionate and justifiable.
“We hope it will help our local communities stay safe and will show an accurate account of not only the actions of members of the public who are involved in incidents but that of our officers too.”
