DRUG dealers have been hurt hard in their pockets – and children are safer with these drugs off the streets of Derry.

The drugs were taken out of circulation at the weekend by Ballymagroarty Community Empowerment made of up local residents trying to stem the tide of anti-social behaviour on the state.

BCE said in a statement: “This is the substancial amount of cannabis that was handed into us by a member of the public.

“We have passed on the cannabis to “TIME 2 CHOOSE” who will make sure its disposed of properly.

“This is fantastic for our group and the residents of Ballymagroarty and wider area’s as it show’s that people are believing our group are doing things right and are gaining confidence in the group and that any information passed to us is completly confidential.

“Hopefully this is the beginning of better things for our communtiy as a whole.”
